The Redi-Stake
System from Highland Redi-Green Turf Farm combines stakes of
seasoned birch with precision-designed applicator guns to make
sod growing and harvesting easier and more profitable than ever.
No
more back breaking labor. No more equipment problems. No more
worrying about an overnight wind reducing all your hard work
to a tangled roll of netting at the end of your field. |
This
is a system developed by growers for growers - one that's designed
to save you labor, time and money.
In
fact, tests show that, using Redi-Stake System, three workers
can secure three acres of netting in three quarters of an hour
- twice as fast as conventional methods! And that was with a
14' roll of netting - so obviously, using a larger roll would
be even faster. |
 |
Application:
Roll
out the sod netting according to the manufacturer's directions.
Then, using the applicator guns, simply walk along driving Redi-Stakes
into the soil at the recommended intervals. No stooping, bending
or kneeling involved. |
Redi-Stakes
are designed to enter the ground without twisting, pinning the
netting securely and allowing the grass to take hold. The tops
are trimmed off during the first mowing and the balance composts
into the soil over the growing period. Redi-Stakes are also
ideal for securing soil erosion blankets, for staking turf on
slopes and as ground markers. |
Highland
Redi-Green Turf Farm has been in the turf business for eighteen
years and is a lifelong member of TPI.
"In that time, we've tried everything," says a company spokesperson.
"Re-usable stakes, biodegradable stakes, weights, top dressing
with soil - nothing worked, so we set about developing our own
system."
Two years of work and many prototypes later, Redi-Stakes with
their unique applicator guns, are now available across North
America. Growers are quickly realizing the benefits of the system
and are using it in ever greater numbers to maximize production
while cutting down the costs, labour and time. |
